Mission : drafting and implementing a plan to improve the purchasing process
Objectives : The goals of the plan:
- Generate a more efficient purchasing function able to make a strong contribution to the creating value in the income statement of the company
- Move towards best practices in the purchasing function to better meet the needs
internal customers
- Allow employees with potential purchases migrate forward to the function
of "commodity manager"
- Bringing the purchasing function at best in the industry
Duration : 3 years
Results :
- Evolution of organization (creation of a new section “advance purchasing”)
- Establishment of a management control data for purchases and over three years set up of purchasing improvement and supplier quality plans (17 topics, 143 actions) as well as new management indicators
- Migration from a list of suppliers to a partners panel (creation of status for each
supplier)
- Active participation of the section project purchasing in the cooperation with the project teams
- Drafting a project charter purchases
- Cost reduction: 2% per year net
- Share purchasing in $ areas and low cost countries: from 20 to 44%
- On time delivery from suppliers: from 71 to 90%
- Non-compliance products purchased: from 0.71 to 0.50%
